Condition Inspections of Bridges

We have
carried out comprehensive condition inspection of
bridges, which includes concrete testing by non-destructive in-situ methods:
covermeter, Rapid Chloride
Tests (RCT), half-cell potentials, PUNDIT crack and
delamination location, and other traditional and
laboratory methods. The purpose was to establish the
current condition of all structural components, evaluate
load capacity ratings, and recommend future rehabilitation
programs. Due to their location on the most traveled
roads, the bridges required very specific traffic control
and lane or ramp closures for the duration of the
inspection. The Client is the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton, Transportation Department, Structural Branch.
